New Website!

Well, it took me long enough, but I finally updated my website. I’ve always been terrible at this side of the business. The marketing side. Thankfully, luck, persistence, and the kindness of strangers have given me enough work to call myself a commercial actor. This year was different though. This year came with a lot of changes, some of them gracious and some of them hurtful. The important thing is that in the end change is always good because it brings with it infinite possibilities.

When I first started working as an actor, I had no idea what I was doing and my website showed it. These days, I still don’t know what I’m doing, but at least I’m having a lot more fun. I used to be terrified of auditions. I saw them as a test I had to pass; something that determined my value as an actor. Now I know that auditions are just another opportunity to perform, and I love to perform. More importantly, I’ve realized that I determine my value by how I treat myself. Hopefully this website reflects that.

I’m giving myself permission to dream big, follow the fear, and admit that I deserve good things. I still feel weird saying that last one. It sounds so selfish to me. Then again, I’ve always been more generous with other people than I am with myself. But it’s true. We all deserve good things! So this year, I’m getting some of that “self-love” everyone keeps talking about. Watch out, NY! I’m coming for ya!
